MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III was not home Saturday morning to receive the returning boxing hero Manny Pacquiao.
At the invitation of the American ambassador, Mr. Aquino on Saturday led senior members of his Cabinet on a hush-hush visit to the American nuclear-powered carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, from where terrorist Osama bin Laden was buried at sea following his killing by US Navy Seals on May 2.
The warship, escorted by three other vessels, is scheduled to dock in Manila Bay on Sunday in what the United States Embassy said is a four-day “routine port call and goodwill visit that highlights the strong historic, community and military connections between the US and the Philippines.”
Mr. Aquino was given a special tour of the US Navy aircraft carrier while she was out at sea on Saturday, according to the US embassy.
The aircraft carrier is coming from the North Arabian Sea, where it had received the US Seal teams who carried Bin Laden’s body after killing the al-Qaida leader in a daring raid on his home in Pakistan.
Two Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopters from the same carrier took a low-level flight across Pakistan to deliver the US Navy Seal team that took out Bin Laden from his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
So honoured
Embassy spokesperson Rebecca Thompson said Mr. Aquino, US Ambassador Harry Thomas Jr. and other Philippine officials were flown early Saturday on a US military aircraft to the carrier.
“We are so honored that President Aquino was able to visit the carrier today,” said Thomas in a statement.
“The crew was just thrilled to be able to meet him and the other distinguished visitors who joined us,” said Thomas.
Communications Development Secretary Ricky Carandang, who was one of those who joined Mr. Aquino, said it was the US Embassy that arranged for Mr. Aquino’s visit to the carrier while it was still in international waters approaching the Philippines.
In impromptu remarks on the ship, the President reaffirmed the “historic, defense and cultural ties” between the United States and the Philippines, one of Washington’s oldest and closest Asian allies, Carandang said.
US special forces have been training and arming Filipino soldiers battling al-Qaida-linked extremists in Mindanao for about a decade now.
Carandang said that while on board, no discussions took place about the carrier’s participation in the US attack in Abbottabad, Pakistan, and Bin Laden’s subsequent sea burial, despite the presence of high-level Philippines officials.
“We didn’t even talk about that. It was a tour. The President met with the crew, many [of whom] are Filipino-Americans,” he said.
Carandang said Mr. Aquino invited the crew to visit the Philippines as “things are becoming better.”
He said the President and his party—which included Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima and Armed Forces Chief Lt. Gen. Eduardo Oban, among others—were on the ship for about three hours. They had lunch on board the aircraft carrier.
Only in movies
Asked why the President had to meet the carrier in international waters, Carandang said “we wouldn’t have been able to watch the planes take off and land if it was already docked.”
“The President was impressed,” said Carandang, noting that it was Mr. Aquino’s first time to visit an aircraft carrier.
“You see it in the movies, but it’s different when you see it in real life—the planes taking off, the planes landing,” he said.
Carandang said the President and his party left Villamor Airbase at 9 a.m. on board a US cargo plane, “smaller than a C-130,” and were taken straight to the aircraft carrier.
The flight out took about an hour and 15 minutes while the return flight took 40 minutes.
Muslim outrage
Amid warnings that Filipino Muslims could be outraged at the presence of the US ship that carried out Bin Laden’s burial, the Philippine Navy on Saturday stressed that the Carl Vinson was on a “routine port call” aimed at enhancing relations between allies.
“The Philippine Navy does that too with port visits in the Asian region,” said AFP Spokesperson Commodore Miguel Rodriguez.
University of the Philippines professor Clarita Carlos earlier warned that the carrier’s presence could agitate Filipino Muslims sympathetic to Bin Laden. She said Filipinos should be sensitive to the feelings of “our Muslim brothers considering that it has been claimed that this is the same US carrier that buried Osama bin Laden’s body at sea.”
Last week, dozens of Filipino Muslims gathered at the Golden Mosque in Quiapo, Manila, for a “funeral service” and sympathy march in honor of Bin Laden, whom they considered a holy warrior. They denounced, in particular, his burial at sea by the US troops who killed him.
Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said there was no reason for Filipino supporters of Bin Laden to be upset over Mr. Aquino’s visit to the Carl Vinson or its presence in the Philippines.
Coincidental
“The fact that it carried the body should not make them agitated ... It has nothing to do with the President’s acceptance of the invitation,” Valte said.
“It was merely coincidental. It just so happened that it was scheduled for maintenance,” she said.
Rodriguez said the Navy welcomed the visit of the carrier for “the tourism potential it generates, and the manifested strong defense relationship with our defense treaty partner.”
The US embassy statement said the US service members in the carrier group will take part in sports events, seminars and community assistance projects with their Philippine counterparts.
It said the visit will contribute about $4.65 million to the local economy from port fees and crew expenditures.
According to a schedule provided by the Navy, the US Navy football team will play a friendly game with a team from the Philippine Navy and Marines.

America shows off warship that buried bin Laden (a philstar article)
(philstar.com) Updated May 15, 2011 02:01 PM
ABOARD THE USS CARL VINSON (AP) – US officials welcomed visitors Sunday to the USS Carl Vinson warship, from which Osama bin Laden's body was buried at sea, but did not discuss the ultra-secretive attack that killed him, reflecting America's concern over possible retaliation.
US defense officials were taking measures to ensure the security of the operatives involved in the May 2 assault on a walled fortress in Abbottabad, Pakistan, particularly the Navy SEAL team that killed the world's most wanted terrorist.
President Benigno Aquino III, accompanied by senior members of his Cabinet and military chief of staff, were flown to the massive aircraft carrier Saturday as it traveled in the South China Sea toward the Philippines, a key Asian anti-terrorism ally.
A group of journalists were invited to tour and talk to sailors aboard the 97,000-ton Carl Vinson, which anchored off Manila along with three other warships on Sunday at the start of a four-day routine port call and goodwill visit.
During the 30-minute ferry ride to the Vinson, US Embassy spokeswoman Wossenyelesh Mazengia told about two dozen journalists that nobody aboard the carrier would talk about bin Laden. "No one on the Vinson is authorized to discuss any operational details that involve Osama bin Laden," Mazengia said. "I'm not trying to say you can't ask, you can."
Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin said Aquino and his entourage were given a tour of the warship and an exhibition of fighter jets landing and taking off from the Carl Vinson, including one flown by a Filipino-American pilot.
Aquino, at one point, sat on the cockpit of an F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jet at a hangar bay as sailors snapped pictures. He talked and posed for souvenir pictures with many beaming Filipino-American sailors, Gazmin said.
But the one thing on everybody's mind — bin Laden's burial from the Carl Vinson just 12 days earlier — did not come up. US Navy officials did not touch the sensitive subject and Aquino's group saw it fit not to ask questions, Gazmin said.
"We did not ask for a briefing because it was too sensitive," Gazmin told The Associated Press on Sunday. "It was a friendly visit and we let it stay that way."
Gazmin, a retired general, said he was impressed by the stunning US commando night-time strike that got bin Laden, adding it showed the might of the American military force.
Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario, who said it was his first time to set foot on an aircraft carrier, was impressed as war planes landed and were launched by catapults from the tarmac.
"You can feel the inherent power of these fighter jets," del Rosario said.
In impromptu remarks on the ship, Aquino reaffirmed the "historic, defense and cultural ties" between the United States and the Philippines, one of Washington's oldest and closest Asian allies, presidential spokesman Ricky Carandang said.
US special forces have been training and arming Filipino soldiers battling al-Qaida-linked militants in the southern Philippines since 2003.
The Carl Vinson came from the North Arabian Sea, where it had received a US SEAL team, which carried bin Laden's body after killing the long-wanted al-Qaida leader in a raid on his walled compound near a Pakistani military academy.
Pentagon officials have said that on the carrier, bin Laden's body was placed in a "weighted bag," an officer made religious remarks and the remains were put on a flat board and tipped into the sea.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates has said that during a recent meeting with members of the team that attacked bin Laden, they expressed concerns about the security of their families.
American officials agreed shortly after bin Laden was killed not to release any operational details on the commando assault, Gates said, but added "that fell apart — the next day."
"We are looking at what measures can be taken to pump up the security," Gates said.
The US Embassy in Manila said Carl Vinson's service members would take part in sports events, seminars and community assistance projects with their Philippine counterparts.
The visit will contribute about $4.65 million to the local economy from port fees and crew expenditures, the embassy said in a statement.
Philippine police have said they will step up security in Manila, where left-wing groups have threatened to stage protests against the US warship's visit.

MANILA, Philippines – Ten female victims were rescued from an escort-service syndicate Monday by the Women and Children Protection Division (WCPD) of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Two of the 10 were minors were allegedly deceived by a certain Marian Bagonoc, who tricked them into believing they were going to be hired as masseurs.
Bagonoc, and her boyfriend, one Mihn Byong Kil, who was identified as a Korean national, were instead found to ber running a prostitution ring from a bogus massage parlor at the Hyatt Manila (Marina) Residential Suite at 1588 MH Del Pilar St. on Pedro Gil, Manila.
But both Bagonoc and Kil, managed to elude the police raiding party, together with two more suspects, Petronilo R. Barin, 45; Juan Carlo P. Endriga, 35; and Roberto Alburo and Carlito Yu, both security guards at the Hyatt Manila.
The CIDG Director, Police Chief Superintendent Samuel Pagdialo Jr. said that Kil and Bagonoc were the operators of the Little Orange Massage Service, an escort service disguised as a home service massage provider.
The Little Orange Massage Service is a bogus establishment that exists only in an advertisement posted in a Korean Magazine, said CIDG-WCPD chief, Police Superintendent Emma M. Libunao.
The police hatched a sting operation at around 7:00 pm Monday in a SOGO inn branch in Malate, Manila, where Endriga allegedly accompanied one victim.
After Endriga’s arrest, the CIDG-WCPD swooped down on the condominium in Vito Cruz, Manila, where the 10 victims were rescued. The unit in Hyatt was being used by Bagonoc as the syndicate’s base of operations.
Libunao said the CIDG-WCPD will press charges against the management of Villa Veronica Condominium and the Hyatt Manila Residential Suite for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Person law, and for leasing their establishment for the commission of the crime.

MANILA PHILIPPINES:' KOREAN PROSTITUTION RING BUSTED'
Published service catered exclusively to Korean clients.
Written by : Alfred Dalizon
“I WANT big breasts. Her hands and lips must be soft. And she must do everything I request. She should also be game to sex props, like ice cream.” Probably, just probably, this was how a Korean customer ordered a Visayan prostitute by phone. Pagdilao said the arrested suspects include Marian Bagonoc, a 25-year-old girlfriend of the syndicate’s mastermind identified as Mihn Byong Kil. The others were Petronilo Barin, Juan Carlo Endriga, Roberto Alburo and Carlito Yu.
Alburo and Yu were identified as security guards at the Hyatt Manla (Marina) Residential Suitelocated at 1588 M.H. del Pilar Street, Pedro Gil, Manila, who tried to prevent members of the CIDG Women and Children’s Protection Division headed by Supt. Emma M. Libunao from conducting the raid.
service catered exclusively to Korean clients
Mihn Byong Kil, the owner of the Little Orange Massage Service described by Pagdilao as an “escort serving ring” disguising as a home service massage provider that caters to Korean nationals is still being hunted as of press time.
The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9208 particularly qualified trafficking in person, a non-bailable offense.
According to Libunao, they discovered that the Little Orange Massage Service is a bogus establishment that exists only in an advertisement posted in a Korean magazine.
She said that in reality, Kil and Bagonoc operate their escort syndicate from Unit 26-B of Hyatt Manila where they receive calls from their Korean clients.
“Once an order-call was received from a Korean client, Bagonoc who operates the order-by-phone massage service in Hyatt will arrange for a rendezvous between the client and the female escort at a particular hotel or inn where the ‘masseur’ performs extra service in the form of sexual services,” Libunao said.
Libunao said that after receiving a call from a foreign client, Bagonoc will call Barin, the caretaker of a unit at the 3rd floor of Villa Veronica Condo, Taal St., Vito Cruz, Manila, where the young women are being held. Barin will then dispatch their driver Endriga to deliver the woman to her client at a pre-arranged hotel or inn.
Libunao said most of the young women that the syndicate sells for sexual services with Korean clients were recruited from the Visayas region.
She said their investigation showed that Kil and Bagonoc charge their clients P200 per hour, earning them an average of P240,000 a month.
Pagdilao said the operation against the Korean prostitution ring was triggered by a complaint from three women who clamed they were hired by Bagonoc as “masseurs” but they ended up as prostitutes instead.
Endriga was the first to be arrested in an entrapment operation inside a Sogo Hotel branch in Malate, Manila, where he accompanied a young woman. The sting was conducted by the CIDG-WCPD with the assistance of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Following Endriga’s arrest, the CIDG-WCPD personnel raided the Vito Cruz condominium unit belonging to Kil where the victims were rescued.
The two Hyatt security guards were arrested after they tried to prevent the CIDG-WCPD operatives from conducting the raid in one of the condo units being used by Kil and Bagonoc as their base of operations, Libunao said.
The almost two-hour delay gave the Korean suspect the chance to escape arrest.
Libunao said they will also file charges against the management of Villa Veronica Condominium and the Hyatt Manila Residential Suite for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Person Law on the ground of leasing their establishment for the commission of the crime.

A Official Hawaiian Birth Certificate from the 1960's
the following statement came from the following blog:
http://www.dennismansfield.com/business/2008/11/maybe-one-last-thought-on-the-obama-birth-certificate-dust-up.html
Then, I had an additional thought. "Wait a minute, in 1961 (at the time of the President-elect's birth) when I was growing up in America, there were two essential terms that labeled blacks, either by others or by themselves: Negro and Colored (as in NAACP). Each term was used regularly by almost all Americans (including blacks) and had not yet FULLY become pejorative in its context. (Only the slang, N______, was the chief pejorative term, though there were others as well.)
So, why in 1961 would the Hawaii birth certificate list Sen. Obama's mother's race as Caucasion (not American) and his father's race as African (not Negro or Colored) ?
Race is race, nationality is nationality, isn't it?
in 1961 negroes (or colored people) never were called Africans were they? That the term African-American is an accepted description today may well be a probelm, if indeed this thing was "reconstructed" under the able (but PC) hands of a current-day employee of Hawaii's Department of Health.....or elsewhere.
This is what a Official Hawaiian Birth Certificate from the 1960's looks like
HERE IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE FILLED OUT. [note that the data is typed in by a TYPEWRITER there were no PC's in 1961 remember]
HERE IS WHAT THE WHITE HOUSE RELEASED AND CLAIMED WAS THE GENUINE BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSIEN OBAMA II. IT IS A DOCTORED FILE.
This is a obvious fake birth certificate and the events of MAY DAY 2011 have all the appearances of classic misdirection. the OSAMA BINLADEN drama completely buried the Birth certificate story .

'MAY 1st' is BELTANE 2011 High Witches Sabbat,When Monsters and the Dead Roam
BELTANE 2011
a historic ritual season
In Celtic religion, a festival held on the first day of May, celebrating the beginning of summer and open pasturing. Beltane was one of two turning points in the year, the other being November 1 (Samhain), the start of winter. At both, the bounds between the human and supernatural worlds were erased. On May Eve, witches and fairies roamed freely, and measures had to be taken against their enchantments. As late as the 19th century in Ireland, cattle were driven between two bonfires on Beltane as a magical means of protecting them from disease. See also Halloween.
